Job summary

Lumos Fiber is seeking a full-time OSP Engineer to design and construct fiber networks across overhead and underground routes. You will prepare construction drawings, review CAD/GIS data, estimate costs, and manage schedules to meet project goals in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in OSP engineering or related fields, strong knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and local regulations, and experience with Excel and data tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in OSP engineering, construction, or operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NESC, and related regulations.
• Proficient with Excel and data analysis; Power BI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed construction and installation drawings and reviews.
• Estimate labor and materials costs and design loss calculations.
• Manage OSP work schedules and track progress and budgets.
• Use Excel, SQL queries, and reporting tools for data validation.
• Coordinate permitting with city officials and land acquisitions.
• Collaborate with Sales to develop design solutions.
