Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a skilled Field Operations Technician to support restoration, maintenance, and installation of telecommunications networks across North America. You will perform MACD activities on Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment and test circuits with OTDRs.

Travel with a company vehicle is required; strong customer service and problem-solving abilities are essential in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
A positive, "can-do" attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment.
Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highquality, customerfocused service experience to every client
Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using effective deescalation techniques
Perform onsite installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rackmounted networking equipment
Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
Follow Ledcor's safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
