Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Team Captain of On Field Operations to lead merchandising, pricing, and athlete experience on the sales floor. You will coach teammates, set priorities, and deliver a consistent, athlete-first shopping experience.

You will build and lead a strong team, oversee opening/closing procedures, supervise teammates, and partner with store leadership to meet goals while upholding safety and policy standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by providing product knowledge and following merchandising standards.
• Help develop 30-60-90 day plans with store leadership, manage staffing and budgets.
• Lead scheduling, workload assignments, and payroll to meet goals while ensuring operations run smoothly.
• Hire, onboard, coach, and evaluate teammates; create an inclusive, respectful store environment.
• Enforce safety, loss prevention, and SOPs and hold teammates accountable.
