Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Superintendent to lead heavy lifting and transportation operations in the field and yard. You will supervise crew safety, training, and performance to deliver safe, profitable results and delighted customers.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, planning jobs, and managing equipment and trucking. Strong crane and rigging experience with foreman leadership is required to maintain high standards of quality and reliability across projects.

Qualifications

• Communication skills are essential for coordinating crews and interacting with customers.
• Reasoning ability is needed to assess job hazards, plan tasks, and optimize workflows.
• Crane and rigging experience (2+ years) and foreman experience (5+ years) are required for effective supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead field crews to perform safely and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with sales, engineering, and scheduling to plan upcoming work.
• Ensure crew qualifications and provide training to meet company standards and safety requirements.
• Develop loadout lists and coordinate trucking for project loads.
• Manage risks and safety programs to minimize incidents and delays.
• Support continuous improvement in scheduling, performance, and equipment maintenance.
