Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a Heavy Haul Foreman to lead crews and oversee complex transportation projects nationwide. You will coordinate oversized moves, manage equipment utilization, and ensure safety and on-time execution in a field-driven role.

The role requires CDL Class A, 5+ years in heavy haul or related operations, and proven leadership. You’ll work with experienced operators and project teams across diversified projects with strong safety expectations and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• 5+ years of experience in heavy haul, transportation, construction, rigging, or heavy equipment operations.
• Previous leadership, crew lead, or foreman experience.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to coordinate personnel, equipment, and schedules in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crews supporting heavy haul and specialized transportation operations.
• Coordinate the movement of over-dimensional and super loads, ensuring projects are completed safely and efficiently.
• Plan and oversee daily work activities, manpower needs, equipment utilization, and project schedules.
• Work closely with project leadership to identify and resolve operational challenges that impact productivity or scheduling.
• Support loading, transporting, unloading, and positioning of heavy components and equipment.
• Conduct inspections and ensure all transportation equipment, trailers, and securement systems are operating safely and effectively.
• Lead daily planning meetings and communicate expectations, work plans, and safety requirements to crews.
• Maintain project documentation, inspections, and compliance requirements throughout each transport operation.
