Job summary

AvantStay is seeking an Assistant Area Manager to support the Area Manager across our portfolio of vacation rental properties. You will audit properties, manage supplies, and respond to guest and owner concerns, with regular in-market travel to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires 2+ years in hospitality or customer-facing roles, and a reliable vehicle. Weekend/holiday coverage and driving within the market are expected as part of a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Ability and availability to work weekends, holidays, and with a flexible schedule.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license; travel required within market.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Area Manager with daily operational tasks across AvantStay properties in the designated area.
• Coordinate with property owners and internal teams to ensure timely communication and statement reviews.
• Maintain AvantStay standards and owner satisfaction metrics.
• Train, coach, and evaluate in-market operations staff as needed.
• Monitor guest and homeowner issues and ensure timely resolutions within set timeframes.
• Identify and address quality issues at properties and coordinate rectification actions.
• Oversee housekeeping and routine maintenance tasks and ensure inventory levels.
• Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with AvantStay standards.
• Respond to guest/owner inquiries via email, Slack, calls, and tickets.
• Frequent in-market travel to properties; participate in rotating on-call after hours.
