Job summary

AvantStay is seeking an Assistant Area Manager to support the Area Manager in daily operations across our vacation rental properties. You will ensure superior guest experiences by auditing properties, managing supplies, responding to concerns, and maintaining standard operations in-market.

The role requires frequent travel and close proximity to the designated area. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work weekends/holidays are essential, with opportunities for a performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Vacation rental industry experience preferred.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint). Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
• Ability and availability to work weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.
• Reliable, snow-ready car and a valid driver’s license.
• Hands-on, in-market presence required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Area Manager in day-to-day operational activities across AvantStay properties in the designated area.
• Serve as a reliable contact for property owners and relay information to internal departments.
• Meet and maintain AvantStay standards and metrics related to owner satisfaction.
• Collaborate with in-market team to train, coach, and evaluate field operations staff.
• Monitor guest and homeowner issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Proactively identify issues at properties and assign rectification duties as needed.
• Perform essential administrative duties to support daily operations with minimal supervision.
• Coordinate housekeeping and maintenance tasks and ensure inventory levels of consumables and linens.
• Conduct property inspections to ensure compliance with AvantStay standards and regulations.
• Respond to guest and homeowner concerns via email, calls, texts, and tickets.
• Travel frequently to properties within the designated area to support operations.
• Participate in rotating On-Call after hours for market support.
