Job summary

AvantStay in New York is seeking an Assistant Area Manager to support the Area Manager in daily operations across designated properties, auditing, stocking supplies, and addressing guest and owner concerns with urgency.

Candidates must reside within a short drive of the properties, have 2+ years in hospitality or customer-facing roles, be able to work weekends, and enjoy travel between sites; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hospitality or customer-facing experience.
• Vacation rental industry experience preferred.
• Ability and availability to work weekends and holidays, with a flexible schedule.
• Must reside in the designated area and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the local manager and serving as market lead in the manager's absence.
• Communicate with property owners and review owner distribution statements.
• Maintain AvantStay standards and owner satisfaction metrics.
• Coordinate with in-market team on training, coaching, and performance.
• Resolve guest or homeowner issues promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify issues proactively and assign rectification duties as needed.
• Perform essential non-manual administrative duties to support daily operations.
• Oversee housekeeping and routine maintenance tasks at properties.
• Ensure inventory levels of consumables and linens are adequate.
• Conduct regular property inspections for compliance with standards.
• Respond to guest/owner inquiries via email, calls, texts, and tickets.
• Travel to properties within the designated area as required.
• Participate in rotating after-hours on-call support.
