Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to lead Field Operations in Fort Worth. You will supervise field teams, coordinate projects involving heavy equipment, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering on schedule and budget.

The role requires hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and strong customer engagement. Travel is frequent; you will mentor staff, assist with budgeting, and support business development through reliable field performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in field operations or related industries preferred (heavy equipment, transportation).
• Strong understanding of DOT/FRA regulations and safety standards.
• Proven track record leading and managing field teams.
• CDL Class A or B preferred, not required.
• Ability to interpret crane load charts and rigging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support field supervisors to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines and customer expectations are met.
• Provide hands-on field leadership, coaching, and support during emergency service calls.
• Conduct site visits to assess safety, quality, and operational performance.
• Identify risks and implement improvements for field operations.
• Maintain relationships with customers, partners, and regulatory agencies.
• Train and develop employees, support hiring and performance reviews.
• Assist with workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Maintain payroll, labor hours, equipment usage, and project records.
• Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance or replacement.
• Support business development through customer engagement and industry events.
