Qualdoc in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a CDL-A Heavy Equipment Operator / Laborer for a full-time, direct-hire position. This role blends driving, equipment operation, and physical labor on field projects across local job sites.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, operate tractor-trailers and heavy machinery when qualified, load and unload materials, and support safety briefings and on-site maintenance. Significant overtime and a 24/7 on-call schedule are required.

Competenze

• Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• Experience in construction labor or a physically demanding role.
• Ability to pass required safety tests and certifications.
• Availability for 24/7 emergency response, including weekends and holidays.

Mansioni

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment.
• Operate tractor-trailers to transport equipment and materials to/from job sites.
• Inspect loads and verify transportation permits for overweight/oversized equipment.
• Participate in safety meetings and review work plans for safe operations.
• Load, unload, move and stage materials and equipment for field assignments.
• Assist with equipment assembly, inspection, rigging, and operation.
• Operate heavy equipment (cranes, backhoes, dump trucks, excavators) when qualified.
• Assist with lifting, recovery, transfers, and infrastructure repairs.
• Use hydraulic tools and common hand tools as required.
• Monitor vehicles to minimize downtime and ensure readiness.
• Document minor maintenance; refer major repairs to proper personnel.
