Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking an Assistant Manager – Field Operations in Candor, NC, to oversee field operations, lead teams, and coordinate projects with heavy equipment, emergency response, and infrastructure services.

The role requires hands‑on leadership, safety focus, and strong customer relations. Eligible candidates will have CDL A, project coordination experience, and the ability to manage time‑sensitive assignments in a field setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in field operations, heavy equipment, or related industry.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Proven experience leading field teams.
• Ability to read crane load charts and rigging requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operating software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support field supervisors in coordinating multiple projects while maintaining safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure projects meet deadlines, budgets, and customer expectations.
• Provide hands‑on leadership, coaching, and problem‑solving support in the field.
• Participate in emergency service responses and coordinate field activities as needed.
• Conduct regular site visits to evaluate safety, work quality, and operational efficiency.
• Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects running smoothly.
• Maintain relationships with customers, field partners, and regulatory agencies.
• Train, mentor, and develop employees; assist with hiring and performance reviews.
• Support workforce planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
