Job summary

Block By Block is seeking an Operations Supervisor to provide oversight of our Ambassador Team in the New York area. The role includes recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching to maintain a high-quality service culture across public spaces and events.

The position requires schedule flexibility to cover early mornings to evenings, outdoor work in all weather, and a strong focus on safety, customer service, and team performance. Health benefits and retirement plans are available.

Qualifications

• Valid NY Driver's License.
• Schedule flexibility required; site operations 7:00am–9:00pm.
• Longevity of at least 5 years with previous employers and prior supervision.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding of Ambassadors and train new hires.
• Adjust deployment of resources to match daily needs, including human resources.
• Identify and solve program issues to improve quality; lead innovation.
• Handle purchasing and inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Report outcomes through spreadsheets, Kronos, Timekeeping, and budgets.
• Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring in the field on policies and procedures.
