Job summary

Consigli Construction is seeking a Field Operations Intern to support safety, scheduling, and field coordination on active projects. This in-person, 40-hour-per-week role provides hands-on experience under Superintendents and Project Managers in a dynamic construction environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with safety program administration, reading drawings, maintaining documentation, and contributing to schedule management and quality assurance on site.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a relevant degree in construction management or engineering.
• Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and field practices.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook; ability to learn CM software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support safety program administration to maintain a safe, compliant site.
• Assist with interpreting drawings, submittals, and project docs.
• Help field team with daily/weekly tasks, daily reports, safety walks, and schedules.
• Develop understanding of overall project schedule and critical path.
• Contribute to short-term planning to meet milestones.
• Participate in quality assurance via meetings, site inspections, and material verifications.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to support timelines and safety.
• Maintain daily logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking for communication.
• Monitor on-site materials deliveries and inventory for progress.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate updates and challenges.
• Observe site conditions impacting schedule, cost, or safety, report findings.
• Utilize construction management software to update project information.
