Job summary

Consigli Construction seeks a Field Operations Intern to support superintendents and project managers in safety program administration, scheduling analysis, and site documentation. This in-person, 40-hour-per-week internship offers hands-on field coordination experience in a dynamic construction environment.

The role emphasizes reading drawings, tracking quantities, and assisting with daily reports, safety walks, and schedule updates, with exposure to CPM concepts and QA processes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with aptitude for learning construction management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
• Basic understanding of CPM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support safety program administration on the project to ensure a safe, compliant environment.
• Assist with interpreting drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
• Assist superintendents and project managers with daily/weekly tasks, including daily reports and safety walks.
• Develop understanding of overall project schedule and critical path analyses.
• Contribute to short-term planning to meet milestones.
• Participate in quality assurance through site inspections and material verification.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to keep timelines and safety on track.
• Maintain daily logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking for communication and records.
• Monitor onsite deliveries and inventory to keep progress uninterrupted.
• Participate in project team meetings and report updates and risks.
• Observe conditions that could impact schedule, cost, or safety.
• Use construction management software to update project information.
