Job summary

Consigli Construction is seeking a Field Operations Intern to support safety administration, quantity tracking, schedule analysis, and site documentation. This hands-on role provides exposure to field coordination, critical path planning, and quality control in a dynamic construction environment.

You will assist superintendents and project managers with daily activities, learn to read drawings, and use CM software while working in person on active sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of construction site safety standards and protocols.
• Proficient in MS Office with aptitude for learning construction software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and docs.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
• Understanding of scheduling concepts, CPM knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety program administration to maintain a safe site.
• Interpret contract drawings, submittals, and project docs.
• Support daily/weekly activities: reports, safety walks, quantity reports, schedules.
• Develop understanding of the overall project schedule and critical path.
• Contribute to short-term planning to meet milestones.
• Participate in QA through site inspections and material verification.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to meet timelines and safety requirements.
• Maintain daily logs, RFIs, and submittal tracking.
• Monitor on-site deliveries and inventory to keep progress steady.
• Join project team meetings and share updates and issues.
• Observe site conditions that could impact schedule, cost, or safety.
• Use CM software/tools to track and update project information.
