Job summary

Consigli Construction in Washington, DC seeks a Field Operations Intern to support safety administration, scheduling, and field coordination. This in-person role offers hands-on exposure to project management and quality assurance within a dynamic construction environment.

You will assist with daily reports, safety walks, quantity tracking, and schedule updates while learning CM processes on active projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with aptitude for learning CM software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and reporting.
• Familiarity with CPM concepts and scheduling basics.

Responsibilities

• Support safety program administration to maintain a safe, compliant site.
• Interpret contract drawings, submittals, and project documents.
• Assist superintendents and PMs with daily/weekly activities and reports.
• Develop understanding of the overall project schedule and critical path.
• Review short-term planning to meet milestones and QA procedures.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to support timelines and safety.
• Maintain project documentation, logs, RFIs, submittals, and schedules.
• Monitor site deliveries and inventory to keep progress steady.
