Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a capable Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, coordinate with management on hiring needs, deadlines, and safety protocols, and mentor field staff.

You will troubleshoot routine job-site issues, organize training, enforce OSHA practices, and communicate with customers to ensure quality work and timely completion.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight should not exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Willingness to travel for storm work.

Responsabilités

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruption, and work scope with property owners.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes good customer relations through completed work and professional behavior.
• Investigates incidents and settles minor damage claims when delegated.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew reports.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of people and equipment.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed and crew performance.
• Reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and property damages.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and safety measures to protect workers and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs to tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping at the truck and work location.
• Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection of vehicles.
• Keeps informed on equipment, policies, and procedures; requests repairs when needed.
