Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Foreperson to oversee daily field operations, assign crew tasks, and enforce safety protocols. You will coordinate with management on staffing, deadlines, and training, while mentoring employees and contractors.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and take independent action.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight should not exceed ~300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Must be able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access issues with property owners and refers controversial cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations through successful completion of assigned work.
• May investigate minor damage claims and settle them.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and crew operation reports.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of people-power and equipment.
• Furnishes reports on orders completed, crew time, and incidents.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect employees and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping on trucks and work sites.
• Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection on all required vehicles.
• Keeps informed about new equipment and company policies; requests repairs when necessary.

Education

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Driver's License Required
