Job summary

Trees, Llc is seeking a Foreperson to boost daily operations' productivity while enforcing safety protocols on the crew. You will work with management to determine staffing needs, deadlines, and training across field teams.

You will troubleshoot routine site issues, maintain records, and ensure DOT/OSHA compliance while managing costs and customer relations. CDL required; travel for storm work may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and take independent action.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Capable of working with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight not to exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.
• Willing to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies.
• Discusses issues with property owners and coordinates access and work responsibility.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations through completed work.
• Investigates minor incidents/damage claims when delegated.
• Maintains accurate records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and methods of operation.
• Provides reports on orders completed, crew time, and repairs.
• Furnishes incident reports and related follow-ups to supervisors.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety signage to protect workers and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping on trucks and work sites.
• Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection on vehicles.
• Keeps informed about new equipment and procedures; requests repairs when needed.
