Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to supervise daily crew operations, coordinate tasks with management, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. The role includes field training, mentoring, and ensuring productive workflows with excellent customer relations.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to field demands, with CDL and travel for storm work as potential requirements.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, and line equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Able to adapt to field requirements and work independently.
• CDL required; driving company vehicle as part of duties.
• Willing to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policies and OSHA standards; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruptions, work scope, and property issues with owners/customers.
• Gains written or oral permission from property owners to perform work.
• Promotes good customer relations through completed work and professional conduct.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports on crew performance.
• Controls crew costs, methods, and equipment usage; reports outcomes to supervisor.
• Furnishes reports on incidents, equipment issues, and crew follow-up.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and safety signs to protect workers and the public.
