Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking aForeperson to drive daily operations, plan crews, and enforce safety and quality on job sites. You will work with management to determine hiring needs, set deadlines, and ensure compliance with safety protocols while mentoring crew members.

You will coordinate field activities, supervise training, and maintain records. A CDL and strong communication skills are essential for effective stakeholder engagement and ensuring timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Requires the ability to interpret drawings and symbols of lines and voltages.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational ability and multitasking capability.
• Capable of independent action in field conditions.
• Must be able to safely drive a company vehicle.
• Able to perform physical tasks including overhead work and bending.
• Physical requirement restrictions per job duties (see posting).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and assign daily crew work after orders are given.
• Conduct field training and retraining for crew members.
• Enforce safety practices per policy and OSHA guidelines.
• Communicate with property owners on access and work scope; refer complex cases.
• Obtain permissions for work from property owners.
• Maintain good customer relations through effective job completion.
• Investigate minor incidents or damage and report findings.
• Maintain records, timesheets, and crew reports.
• Control crew costs and equipment usage.
• Provide reports on orders completed and crew performance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders including police or fire when blocking locations.
• Set up barriers and safety signs to protect workers and the public.
• Ensure tools, trucks, and equipment are properly maintained.
