Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to supervise daily crew operations, coordinate with management on hiring needs, set deadlines, and enforce safety protocols on job sites.

The role involves troubleshooting field issues, mentoring crew members, and maintaining records and reports related to crew performance and costs. A CDL and 18+ years old are required, with extensive line clearance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must have organization skills and be able to multi-task.
• Must be capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight should not exceed approximately 300 pounds.
• Must have no fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policy and OSHA guidelines, and conducts safety training.
• Discusses access issues with property owners and refers controversial cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Promotes and maintains good customer relations through effective completion of assigned work.
• May investigate incident reports and minor damage claims.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew operation reports.
• Controls crew costs and optimization of resources.
