Job summary

Utilities Service, LLC seeks a Foreperson to drive daily crew productivity, coordinate hiring needs with management, enforce safety, and mentor staff on projects with a focus on customer relations and efficient operations. CDL and leadership are key, with field training and regulatory compliance emphasized.

The role includes supervising crews, handling incident/reporting tasks, and maintaining equipment and records, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Must have organization skills and be able to multi-task.
• Must be capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Must be able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Must have no fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving/interpreting orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices and conducts safety training per OSHA and company policies.
• Discusses issues with property owners and refers controversial cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
• Promotes good customer relations through effective completion of work and crew behavior.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and equipment use.
• Furnishes reports of orders completed and crew activity to supervisors.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect employees and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools and equipment.
• Maintains good housekeeping at truck and work locations.
• Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection on vehicles.
