Job summary

Utilities Service, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to oversee daily field operations, coordinate crew tasks, enforce safety standards, and communicate with property owners. This role emphasizes training, incident reporting, and cost control while ensuring service quality.

The Foreperson will manage scheduling, supervise training, and ensure OSHA compliance, with emphasis on safe practices, equipment checks, and customer relations. CDL is required; weight and height considerations apply.

Qualifications

• Requires understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Capable of adjusting to field requirements and taking independent action without close supervision.
• Able to safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Due to equipment capacity, weight should not exceed ~300 pounds.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining, instructing crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policy, and conducts safety training.
• Discusses with property owners issues such as access, power interruptions, and work scope; refers complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains customer relations and professional conduct of crew.
• Investigates incidents, damage claims, and settles minor claims as delegated.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and reports related to crew performance.
• Controls crew costs and resource use.
• Furnishes reports on incidents, truck breakdowns, and equipment issues.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets.
• Sets up barriers and warning signs to protect employees and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs to tools and equipment.
