Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an Oncology Nurse Educator to engage with allied healthcare professionals, providing product and disease education for patient management on approved therapies. The role emphasizes 1:1 presentations, education program development, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing license (RN/NP/PA) with 7+ years in oncology, strong communication and presentation skills, and willingness to travel up to 50% from a CT-based territory that includes CT and RI.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing, NP, PA or PharmD required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Current active HCP license.
7+ years clinical oncology/hematology experience; recent hematology experience preferred.
Experience in academic and/or community oncology practice.
Excellent communication, objective setting, influencing, business acumen, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic education leader across oncology accounts with education resources.
Develop customized educational plans based on account dynamics.
Educate clinicians on therapy identification, dosing, administration, and adverse event management.
Educate patient care teams on initiation and management per protocols.
Provide education programs via 1:1 presentations and other approved formats.
Document customer interactions and educational activities; manage resources.
Collaborate across internal teams (sales, marketing, clinical ops, medical).
Travel up to 50% as required and support education at meetings.
