Job summary

AbbVie Inc. seeks an Oncology Nurse Educator to proactively engage with allied health professionals, delivering product and disease education for patient management on approved therapies.

The role is field-based, covering several states with up to 50% travel, including overnight stays. You will educate clinicians, develop educational plans, and contribute to clinical training initiatives across AbbVie Oncology teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, NP, PA or PharmD required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Current active HCP license.
• 7+ years clinical oncology/hematology experience; recent hematology preferred.
• Experience in academic/community oncology practice.
• Excellent communication, objective setting, influencing, business acumen and presentation skills.
• Must be able to travel 50% including overnight and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic education leader across academic and community oncology accounts with approved resources.
• Develop a customized educational plan from account dynamics and clinical insights.
• Educate on appropriate patient identification and role of therapies for hematologic and solid tumors.
• Explain preparation, administration, and adverse event management of products.
• Provide education to patient care teams through 1:1 sessions and other approved formats.
• Document customer interactions and allocate resources effectively.
• Collaborate across internal functions (sales, marketing, clinical operations) as needed.
