Gallagher Bassett is seeking a registered nurse professional to provide medical management for workers’ compensation injuries in the Des Moines territory. The role conducts case management through telephonic and in-person contact with injured workers and medical providers, coordinating with employers and claims professionals to restore workers to productive duty.

Qualifications

• Degree from applicable program and a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in an acute care setting.
• Active Registered Nursing license in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Worker's Compensation experience preferred.
• Certification in related field preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinating medical evaluation and treatment.
• Meeting with physician and injured worker to discuss treatment plan and return-to-work goals.
• Keeping employer and referral source updated on medical treatment and work status.
• Coordinating ancillary services (home health, DME, PT) and communicating job requirements for modified work.
• Discussing and evaluating treatment plan results with physician and injured worker using Evidence Based Guidelines.
• Documenting case management observations, assessments, and plans.
• Generating reports for referral sources on case status and recommendations.
• Issuing ongoing correspondence to referral sources, employers, medical providers, and workers.
• Participating in telephonic case conferences.
