Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking an Outside Loan Originator to expand our mortgage referral network in New York. You will originate and process loans while maintaining an active NMLS license under the SAFE Act and building relationships with real estate agents and other lead sources.

You will source mortgage leads, analyze applicants' financial status, explain loan options, and coordinate with processing and underwriting to close loans.

Qualifications

• NMLS license required under the SAFE Act.
• Experience sourcing mortgage leads and building referral networks.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products and programs.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source mortgage leads and build relationships with real estate agents and other lead sources.
• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answer questions about the process.
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options available, as well as the terms of those services.
• Coordinate with processing and underwriting to aid in resolving mortgage application problems.
• Attend closings and participate in lead-generating activities and CCM seminars/trainings.
