Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to originate mortgages in an assigned market. You will take applications, submit to processing and underwriting, and follow up to secure documents for processing and closing.

This role involves spending at least 50% of time meeting clients away from bank locations, building relationships, and ensuring compliance with NMLS, RESPA, and related regulations.

Qualifications

• NMLS registration required and compliance with SAFÉ Act and Regulation Z.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three+ years of mortgage, sales, real estate, or banking experience.
• Willing and able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned market and take loan applications.
• Submit applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Follow up to secure documents needed for processing, underwriting, and closing.
• Spend at least 50% of time conducting sales activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
