Cox Automotive's Cox Fleet division is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II to perform licensed DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on light, medium, and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile environment.

The role requires diagnosing and repairing various truck systems, managing parts on the service truck, and communicating with customers and management to ensure high performance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
• Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, braking, cooling systems, starters/alternators, and engine components.
• Diagnose, adjust and repair electrical, braking, cooling, air conditioning, engine electronics, and transmission systems.
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using handheld instruments and pressure gauges.
• Road test vehicles to verify proper operation after service and repairs.
