Job summary

DASCO HME LLC in Huntington, WV is seeking a Medical Equipment Technician to deliver and potentially assemble medical equipment and supplies for patients. You will educate patients or caregivers on use and care, complete required paperwork, and assist with warehouse and inventory duties.

The role requires strict HIPAA and regulatory compliance, after-hours on-call coverage, and occasional travel for deliveries. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record per DASCO’s auto insurance carrier review.
• Residential delivery driver experience preferred.
• Customer service experience in medical/insurance/healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medical equipment and supplies, educates patients/caregivers on use and maintenance, and completes required paperwork.
• Maintains compliance logs and applicable records per policy.
• Adheres to HIPAA, Joint Commission, FDA, OSHA and other regulatory guidelines; reports compliance/safety issues.
• Provides afterhours on-call coverage with other technicians.
• Supports training of new technicians as requested by management.
• Identifies patient needs and revenue opportunities and communicates them for follow-up.
• Maintains vehicle, warehouse, and equipment cleanliness and repair per policy.
