Job summary

Terracon is seeking a field testing technician in Tucson, AZ to perform testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will document findings, prepare reports, and communicate results to the project team.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of related experience, high school diploma, and proficiency with Word/Excel. NICET/ACI certifications and safety training are preferred. Valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• ACI certification in Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I or Concrete Strength Testing Technician
• Radiation safety and Nuclear Density Gauge operation certifications
• Internal safety certifications completed

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic analysis of data to verify accuracy before submittal to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and other personnel as directed by the PM.
• Assists higher level technicians on complex tasks.
• Maintains assigned equipment and related calibration.
• Follows safety rules and practices and reports safety issues to management.
• Maintains quality standards on all projects.
