Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 2 to perform field and lab testing for heavy civil projects. You will write daily test reports, collect samples of cement and concrete, and operate devices like a nuclear gauge to measure densities, while ensuring documentation is accurate and defensible.

Requirements include WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications, ACI Field Testing Grade 1, and 2+ years of materials testing experience.

Qualifications

• WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications.
• ACI Field Testing Grade 1 certification.
• 2+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate uneven construction sites.
• Willingness to travel for Western Washington per diem projects.

Responsibilities

• Accurately write and submit test reports daily.
• Assist with inspection of Heavy Civil construction.
• Perform a variety of job site tests, record data, and interpret results.
• Sample and test Cement, Concrete, and other surfacing materials.
• Sample and perform aggregate tests such as sieve analysis, sand equivalent, and moisture content.
• Operate a nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt, concrete, surfacing, and earthwork.
• Write and receive tickets for measurements of materials.
