Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Tester - CMT Field Technician 2 to deliver accurate, defensible materials testing and documentation for heavy civil infrastructure projects. Minimum certification requirements include ACI Field Testing Grade 1 and WAQTC In-Place Density, with a focus on safety and quality in the field.

You will write test reports daily, sample and test cement, concrete and aggregates, operate a nuclear gauge, and travel across Western Washington per diem.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• WAQTC in-place density and aggregate testing certifications; ACI Field Testing Grade 1.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of materials testing and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Accurately write and submit test reports daily.
• Assist with inspection of Heavy Civil construction.
• Perform a variety of job site tests, record test data, and interpret results.
• Sample and test Cement, Concrete, and other surfacing materials.
• Sample and perform aggregate tests such as sieve analysis, sand equivalent, and moisture content.
• Use nuclear gauge to test densities of asphalt, concrete, surfacing and earthwork.
• Write and receive tickets for measurements of materials.
