Job summary

The Thrasher Group is seeking a Construction & Materials Testing Specialist to join our growing team in a hybrid role. You will perform material testing and construction inspection across diverse projects to ensure quality and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of relevant experience, testing experience, and safety certifications such as OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR. Additional ACI or WVDOH certifications are highly desirable and supported for professional growth.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or material testing.
• Material testing experience is highly desirable.
• OSHA 10, First Aid, and CPR certifications preferred.
• ACI or WVDOH testing certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and field testing on construction materials including concrete, asphalt, aggregate, and soil.
• Interpret civil construction plans and specifications.
• Monitor construction progress, adherence to plans, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of project quantities, daily reports, and changes.
• Keep accurate redline and as-built drawings to document project modifications.
• Communicate findings through written reports and facilitate information flow among all project stakeholders.
• Ensure quality standards are met and proactively prevent construction defects.
• Adapt to varying job site locations and schedules, including night shift assignments.
• Travel to project sites as needed, including periodic extended stays.
• Complete certification courses to continuously build skills and technical knowledge.
• Willingness to support other divisions and take on additional roles as workload demands.
