Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing at the Saint Francisville, LA site. You will manage field material control activities for major capital equipment and materials under supervision, driving adherence to procedures and ensuring task completion.

You will coordinate with the Manager of Material Control and the Project Procurement Manager, supporting projects with a focus on accuracy, documentation, and timely delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Experience using Materials Management software and/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• MS Office tools experience with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools, basic procurement principles and practices, and project delivery processes.
• Review Shipment Release Request documentation and ensure Shipment Authorizations are PO-compliant and within the Material Control plan.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and understanding shipment authorization processes.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), Material Issue Requests (MIRs), and OS&D reports.
• Maintain a repository of material control documentation and preserve materials.
• Coordinate with project or departmental personnel in material control activities.
