Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA to manage capital equipment materials and related paperwork under supervision.

You’ll apply your experience with SAP/Oracle/NetSuite and MS Excel to support shipments, receiving, and documentation while coordinating with project teams. This on-site role offers a hybrid policy and contributes to project delivery and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2-5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands-on site experience within complex, large-scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel.
• 2+ years of experience using Materials Management software &/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Smart Materials).
• Interest in pursuing a career in Construction Management or Procurement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Saint Francisville, LA.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request related supplier documentation and ensure approvals.
• Advise stakeholders how to create and initiate shipment releases.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a materials preservation activity register.
• Coordinate with project or departmental personnel in material control tasks.
