Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Field Material Controller for Advanced Manufacturing in Saint Francisville, LA. The role focuses on managing major capital equipment and materials, following defined procedures under supervision and coordinating with Project Procurement Managers.

You will work with a team to process shipments, maintain records, and ensure compliance with purchase orders and material control plans. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, construction, supply chain, or operations management.
• OSHA 10-hour Construction Certificate; OSHA 30 preferred.
• 2+ years on-site experience in large-scale construction environments.
• Experience with materials management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• MS Office proficiency, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of material control processes and supplier relationships.
• Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request documentation and ensure PO terms are met.
• Advise stakeholders on creating shipment releases and authorization processes.
• Administer MRRs, MIRs, OS&Ds and preserve material records.
• Maintain a register of preservation activities for materials.
• Evaluate material control issues and apply remedies.
• Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
• Identify material control risks and report to management.
• Coordinate OS&D resolution with project/department teams.
• Work under close supervision with no direct reports.
• Coordinate with project staff on material control activities.
