You will manage material control for major capital equipment and materials, perform shipments, and maintain documentation under supervision, while collaborating with the Manager of Material Control and project teams.

The role requires on-site work in Saint Francisville, LA, with a preference for OSHA certification and experience in large-scale construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, construction, supply chain, operations management, or equivalent project experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in capital equipment material control is preferred.
• 2+ years of hands‑on site experience within complex, large‑scale construction environments.
• OSHA 10‑hour Construction Certificate. OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience using MS Office tools, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
• 2+ years of experience using Materials Management software and/or Enterprise Purchasing Systems, including inventory control and procurement processes (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Smart Materials) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of material control processes, procedures, and tools.
• Review Shipment Release Request related supplier documentation and ensure Shipment Authorizations are approved.
• Advise stakeholders how to create and initiate shipment releases and understand shipment authorization process.
• Administer Material Receiving Reports (MRRs), Material Issue Requests (MIRs) and OS&Ds.
• Maintain a register of Materials requiring preservation activities.
• Evaluate facts surrounding material control problems and apply remedies.
• Maintain material control documentation in a repository.
• Identify and advise management of material control risks.
• Participate in OS&D resolution coordination.
• Coordinate with project or departmental personnel in material control activities.
