Job summary

ARCO Design/Build in Memphis, TN is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co‑op to gain hands-on exposure to the full lifecycle of construction projects while working alongside experienced field leaders.

You will participate in field operations, safety meetings, scheduling, and trade coordination, learning how drawings and plans are applied on site and how daily reports are prepared. This internship emphasizes growth, mentorship, and practical experience in a top design/build firm.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program
• Driver’s License required
• Excellent verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
• Previous Co‑op or intern experience in construction preferred, but not required
• GPA 3.0 or higher preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to field operations from site mobilization through project completion
• Participate in safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture
• Assist with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and progress tracking
• Observe quality inspections and ensure work aligns with plans and ARCO standards
• Attend project meetings and learn drawing review and plan coordination
• Document daily site activities and prepare progress reports
• Learn how office and field teams collaborate to deliver projects
• partake in offsite trainings and biweekly learning sessions for development
