Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co-op in Memphis to gain hands-on experience on active design-build projects. You will work closely with seasoned superintendents, supporting daily field operations, safety practices, scheduling, and coordination across teams.

You’ll participate in site walks, training sessions, and meetings that reveal how office and field teams collaborate to deliver high-quality work while fostering a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited Civil, Mechanical, Architectural, Construction Management, Building Science, or Construction Engineering program (undergraduate or graduate).
• Excellent communication and a strong work ethic.
• Previous co-op or intern experience in construction is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations from site mobilization to project closeout.
• Attend daily safety meetings and assist in promoting a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities and monitor progress to help keep projects on schedule.
• Assist with documenting daily site activities and preparing daily reports.
• Participate in meetings to observe how field teams communicate and solve challenges.
