Job summary

ARCO Design/Build is seeking a Superintendent Intern/Co-op in Atlanta to gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of a project. You will work closely with seasoned field leaders on-site, learning how daily activities unfold from mobilization through project completion.

You will participate in safety meetings, coordinate with subcontractors, and document progress while observing quality inspections and plan reviews. This program fosters growth in construction leadership.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited civil, mechanical, architectural, construction management, building science, or construction engineering undergraduate or graduate program.
• Driver's License.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and strong work ethic.
• Previous co-op or intern experience in construction preferred but not required.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to field operations from site mobilization to project completion.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
• Assist with scheduling, coordination, and monitoring of subcontractor activities to keep projects on schedule.
• Observe and support quality inspections to ensure compliance with plans and ARCO standards.
• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings, owner walkthroughs, and planning discussions.
• Learn to review construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings in the field.
