Job summary

Tilcon Connecticut Inc. seeks a Quality Control Technician to support operations across quarries, asphalt plants, and paving projects. The role involves performing inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure materials and production meet standards and contract specs.

The position requires flexibility with overtime, nights, weekends, and travel as needed. Work includes both laboratory and field duties and may involve general construction tasks to support operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of quality control or construction experience preferred.
• Relevant certifications preferred or ability to obtain.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control inspections, sampling, and testing in field and lab environments.
• Collect, measure, and test materials including aggregates, hot mix asphalt, soils, and core samples.
• Conduct density and mixture testing and assist with mix design validation.
• Ensure compliance with contract specs and testing tolerances.
• Maintain accurate records and databases of test results.
• Communicate test results and quality concerns with plant and field teams.
