Job summary

Tilcon Connecticut Inc., a CRH company, is offering a Concrete Quality Control Intern role to support the QC team in ensuring ready mix concrete products meet company standards, customer specifications, and industry requirements.

This internship provides hands-on exposure to concrete testing, materials evaluation, plant operations, and construction projects while developing QA processes knowledge in both lab and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Learn to operate within CRH safety culture and support a strong safety culture.
• Assist with sampling and testing of fresh and hardened concrete per ASTM/ACI/project specs.
• Support QC personnel in field and laboratory testing of concrete and aggregates.
• Record, organize, and maintain test results and quality documentation.
• Assist with monitoring plant production to ensure compliance with mix designs and specs.
• Participate in jobsite visits to observe concrete placement and testing procedures.
