Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Field Technician to perform and document testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel at construction sites in Texas. You will communicate results to the project team and prepare written reports for daily transmission to the Project Manager.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and basic computer skills with Word/Excel. You will assist with equipment maintenance and adhere to safety standards on all projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience using laptop computers and Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing, observation, and inspection per training and procedures.
• Documents findings clearly and communicates results to the Project Manager.
• Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission.
• Maintains equipment and participates in safety and quality control.
• Drives a vehicle to project sites and supports scheduling when needed.
• Ensures safety compliance and quality on all projects.
