Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Field Technician to perform field and laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. You will communicate results to project managers and inspectors, transport samples, and prepare reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent training.
• Experience with laptop use and Microsoft Word and Excel.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs field testing, observation, and inspection as directed per procedures.
• Provides clear documentation of findings and results.
• Performs basic data analysis to verify accuracy before submission to the Project Manager.
• Communicates information to Project Manager and team as directed.
• May train lower level technicians and potentially lead activities on larger projects.
• Maintains equipment and calibration; ensures safety practices and quality standards.
