Job summary

CTL Engineering is seeking Inspectors/Technicians for Construction Inspection Services on NCDOT projects in the North Carolina region. The role combines field and laboratory work with a focus on quality control and problem-solving within a cross-functional team.

You will perform inspections of earthwork, concrete, asphalt, and utility construction, prepare reports, and support engineers in the field. Travel within the north-central NC region is common, and a company vehicle stipend may be

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in construction inspection and testing on NCDOT projects.
• Familiarity with highway construction specifications and field experience.
• Experience with concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utility construction testing/inspection.
• ACI Grade I, NICET II soils, ICC inspections preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection and testing for NCDOT and other clients.
• Inspect concrete pours, rebar, pipe replacements, and related construction work.
• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Prepare and maintain project records and reports.
• Assist engineers in the field and communicate findings to the team.
• Ensure QA/QC and conformance with plans, specs, and contract documents.
