Job summary

AMG Tech Support is seeking skilled technicians to support a growing national client base, performing OS installs, diagnostics, and structured cabling across diverse environments. Expect on-site work, travel within an ~80-mile radius, and a 1099 contractor arrangement with paid hourly wages.

Ideal candidates have 1 year IT/Telecom experience and either A+/Network+ or 5+ years field experience. A reliable vehicle and basic tools are required for assignment readiness.

Qualifications

• 1 year IT/Telecom experience required.
• One of: A+ Certification, Network+ Certification, or 5+ years field experience.
• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license required.
• Standard IT and networking tools and equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of technical tasks including OS installations, hardware diagnostics, and software setup.
• Structured cabling (drilling, running, and dressing cables) across buildings.
• Telecom work (punch-downs, demarc extensions, etc.).
• Work independently across retail, medical, restaurant, and corporate environments.
• Be on call and respond to service requests within your territory.
