Job summary

The Proactive Technology Group is seeking a proactive Field Technician based in Midtown Manhattan to service client sites across Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, with occasional travel to Greenvale, NY. You will split time between fieldwork and remote support, delivering hands-on IT assistance and helping execute client infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include onsite/remote Level 1/2 support, troubleshooting MS 365 and hardware, documenting findings in IT Glue, and using Halo PSA and

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a managed services, field support, or IT support role.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Windows Server.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, wireless).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote Level 1/2 support for client environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workstations, Microsoft 365, printers, and basic server applications.
• Travel to client sites to perform technical support, remediation, deployment, and installation work.
• Assist with workstation setups, user onboarding/offboarding, hardware replacements, and office IT moves.
• Document work performed and findings in IT Glue; use Halo PSA for ticketing and Ninja RMM for remote support.
• Maintain professionalism and strong customer service while representing the company onsite.
• Be flexible with schedule; some after-hours work may be required.
