Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Field IT Engineer to ensure effective IT operations at field locations.

You will plan, coordinate and implement IT activities aligned with business objectives, maintaining strong relationships with field management and staff, and communicating plans and issues between IT management and field locations. The role requires 2–4 years in decentralized IT support, Cisco VOIP/UCCE experience and CCNA certification.

Qualifications

• 4 years of computer network experience.
• Experience with Cisco VOIP/UCCE.
• CCNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide level two support for WANs, LANs, field servers and field applications including on-call and on-site support/remediation.
• Act as liaison between field staff, management, vendors and Corporate IT.
• Identify, implement and report proactive solutions to improve operational efficiencies at field locations.
• Participate in installation, replacement, disposal of field computer hardware.
• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure at field locations.
• Troubleshoot Cisco VOIP phone systems including user adds, changes and moves; coordinate with 3rd party consultants.
• Build and manage vendor relationships to deliver IT services (cabling, hardware, software).
• Provide timely reports on activities as directed by management.
